Descriptions:
Chef/owner Anthony Ambrose's elegant restaurant serves an eclectic mix of French-Asian
dishes, such as crisp duckling with nori roll, bok choy and pureed turnips in a soy,
garlic and cocoa glaze. Lunch includes a gourmet's variations on familiar sandwiches:
fresh turkey breast with cranberry sage, and grilled pulled pork with Indonesian barbecue
sauce. Chef Tony Ambrose likes his flavors vivid and his platters tall, from an
ostrich-meat appetizer to "lobster salad with 22-karat-gold vinaigrette."
(You'll literally eat your money.) Take down the French decorations, and the food is haute
Yankee, based on native ingredients. The decor is designer-chic: burnished woods,
floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and an ever-changing arrangement of modern art on the
walls. AE, MC, V. No lunch weekends. |
